FE COURSES ACADEMIC INDUCTION WEEK Wc. 4th September 2023
Academic Enrolment
Our Academic Induction programme is compulsory for all new students and is designed to introduce you to your course manager and give you an opportunity to meet other students on your course.
Please see below the Induction Week timings for new FE students, to start week commencing Monday 4th September.
All Level 2 and Level 3 1st year learners will be in the university college Monday/Tuesday or Wednesday/Thursday – Please refer to the start date you were given at enrolment.
Week One - W/C 4th September
On your first day please arrive at college for 9am at the main reception. You will be directed to your base room by our friendly student ambassadors and staff.
Over the course of the first day, learners will get to know their classmates and course manager, meet key college staff at the FE Welcome and receive important information about their chosen study programme. They will also attend a workshop delivered by the wellbeing team on self-care while studying, hear from the careers team, have a chance to meet the Essex Therapy Dogs over lunch, take part in a college treasure hunt and attend a welcome session in the FE Hub.
Day two of the induction will be a chance for new students to visit their curriculum area, meet teaching staff, and hear more about the work placements. Students retaking GCSE's will get to know the Maths and English teams.
