IN YOUR FIRST WEEK AT WRITTLE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE

1.) You must enrol each academic year to gain access to your University College email address, the Library and free Wi-Fi.

  • If you haven’t already paid the second instalment of your tuition fees please do so at the Finance Office window in the Main Building, Room L08 by Friday 15 September

  • STUDENT VISA HOLDERS: Bring documents to the Admissions office within 2 days of arriving at Writtle

If you are in the UK under a Student Visa and WUC is acting as your sponsor, you must visit the Admissions Office as soon as possible after you arrive at Writtle University College for the first time. Please bring the following original documents with you as we will need to take copies:

  • Your passport

  • Your visa or immigration status documents

  • Your original academic qualifications and certificates

  • Your biometric identity card (if you have one at this time) or electronic visa share code

You must also provide us with your UK address and UK contact telephone number as soon as you have it.

The Admissions office can be found in room L67 in the Main Building. There will be dedicated staff available to talk to you about International compliance and enrolment from 4-5pm on weekdays from Monday 11 September to Friday 22 September. If you are not able to attend during this period, the office will be open from 8:30am-5pm on weekdays. Once you have provided these documents to us we will be able to authorise your login details and enable you to attend the Registration Support Centre.

2.) International students with a Visa - If you applied for a student visa from outside the UK and did not opt for an electronic visa, you must collect your BRP once you have arrived in the UK. This will either be from the Registry Office (if you nominated WUC as your collection point) or a local Post Office. You must usually collect your BRP card before the vignette sticker in your travel document expires or within 10 days of arriving in the UK.

If you have opted to collect your BRP from a Post Office, the Students’ Union and Accommodation Office will organise a trip to the local Post Office and will be in touch with more details soon.  When you go to collect your BRP, please take your passport or travel documents with your vignette sticker.

3.) Induction - Week commencing Monday 11th September 2023

Planning is well underway for your 'Welcome to WUC" Induction and Fresher's Week activities and events, which will be delivered in person at the University as well as via our Virtual Welcome Hub. Your "Welcome to WUC" induction is designed to help you settle into university life, both academically and socially, running throughout the week.
